Certified Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1986 as a Professional Consulting Engineering and Land Surveying Organization. We are a growing, aggressive, professional engineering firm looking to provide a breadth of services to our clients. We have worked for cities, counties, state and federal government agencies, as well as other engineering firms, private developers and commercial businesses, utilizing state-of-the-art technology in all our engineering and surveying projects.

Services are available for design of streets, highways, bridges, interchanges, traffic signals, lighting layout, commercial sites, residential subdivisions, along with runways and taxiways. We also have experience in the design of storm sewers, hydraulic analysis studies, retention and detention ponds, water lines and pumping stations. Professional design services are also available for retaining walls, footings, tanks and wingwalls.

We offer services of deed research and abstracting to locate existing property lines and perform engineering calculations for the preparation of legal description and plats. These may be used for the acquisition of permanent and temporary right of way, easements and right of entry required for the construction and maintenance of a facility.

We have experience in the design of sanitary sewer collection systems; including interceptors, laterals, lift stations and force mains. In addition, we have performed water line distribution analysis, designed water storage tanks and water pumping stations.

Our staff has extensive experience in the survey work required for the design of roads, bridges, utilities, and waterways. We also provide topographical surveys and cross sections using data collector instruments. These types of surveys have been completed by our firm for the Indiana Department of Transportation, private industry, as well as other architectural and engineering firms.

Our firm will provide land surveying services which satisfy the needs of the property owner, title examiner, and taxing agencies. Our staff is skilled in the analysis and interpretation of frequently conflicting evidence and documentation. Completed descriptions will allow for simple retracement by future surveyors.

This phase of work involves field positioning of site improvements as designed by Architects and Engineers. The work involves layout of streets, highways, bridges, utilities, parking lots and general site work. Our firm also has experience in the layout of commercial and industrial facilities, such as schools, commercial buildings, parking garages, parks and subdivisions. We work closely with the contractors and offer complete on-site engineering layout services.

Our staff also has experience in the administration of inspection services for federally funded projects under the guidelines set forth by the Indiana Department of Transportation.
